Dermal Filler

Volumization & Restoration

Dermal Filler

Specializing in full facial balancing, we utilize dermal fillers to restore maximum light reflection to enhance your natural beauty. Our nurses are trained to assess your face as a whole. It can become easy practice to only treat one area, however it creates a tunnel vision effect where we are only seeing one area, and not realizing how it may effect the area as a whole.  Treating multiple areas with a less is more approach, allows areas to transition and balance one another instead of over powering.

Our selection of hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such as Revanesse and Restylane, can restore lost facial volume, smooth out deep wrinkles, enhance cheekbones, and plump up lips. Our expert injectors will provide you with a thorough full facial assessment that is bespoke to you.

Dermal Fillers are used to restore volume and augment areas of the face. Areas of augmentation may include:

  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Lips
  • Temples
  • Jaw

Dermal Filler can also help with lines or wrinkles that are unable to be effectively treated with Botox. These may include:

  • Lines around the lips
  • Nasolabial Fold
  • Marionette Lines
  • Acne Scars
  • Chin crease
  • Lines on the lateral cheek

Dermal Filler Q&A

Dermal Fillers are hyaluronic acid. They are a non-animal-base molecule that naturally exists in the human body. It should appear crystal clear in appearance and have a gel like consistency. Dermal fillers will come in different textures, density, and injection depths. Depending on the area being treated and your aesthetic goal, we will choose a dermal filler that is right for you.  Dermal fillers rely heavily on its ability to attract water molecules to further plump up the skin. This provides the skin with more hydration and glow. Most fillers are pre-mixed with Lidocaine, an anesthetic agent, which helps to make the procedure more comfortable for you. If you have an allergy to Lidocaine, it is important to inform us so we can ensure we are using a Lidocaine-free dermal filler. What makes dermal filler with hyaluronic acid so popular with patients and practitioners is that it can be dissolved and it is a temporary procedure. Most dermal fillers only last 9-12 months.

What to Expect During Consultation

We begin all appointments with a consultation. During the consultation, we review he area(s) of concern, and review your medical history. It is important to fully disclose your medical history prior to treatment as certain allergies, skin & neurological conditions or medications can jeopardize your safety or results.

What to Expect During Treatment

It is preferred that you attend your appointment without makeup. This is to ensure the area can be properly cleansed and we are able to view any changes in the skin. After the area being treated is cleaned, we apply topical Lidocaine aesthetic to help numb the area. Other options for pain management may include topical ice or a dental block. Botox Q&A

Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin – commercially known as Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin or Nuceiva – that are used to treat wrinkles, frown lines and crow’s feet. A small amount of the neuromodulator is injected directly into the underlying muscle, causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the overlying skin. The effects typically last about three months.  Botulinum toxin is produced by a specific type of bacteria. In higher amounts, it can be poisonous. However, only small, weaker doses of botulinum toxin are used to reduce facial wrinkles.

When botulinum toxin is injected, it blocks certain nerve signals that make muscles contract. The muscles relax, reducing unwanted wrinkles. This effect lasts about 3–6 months. After that, the muscles move again and wrinkles come back.

Sculptra

Natural Volumization

Sculptra

Experience the benefits of collagen stimulation with our Sculptra treatment. By promoting collagen production in the skin, Sculptra can improve skin texture, restore lost volume, and reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and folds. Our skilled practitioners will create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve long-lasting results.

Some popular requested areas for Sculptra:

  • Cheeks
  • Temples
  • Jawline
  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Marionette Lines
  • Chin

Sculptra is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments. Sculptra is injected into the appropriate dermal plane where strands of collagen support your skin's structure.

Over time, Sculptra helps the body reproduce lost collagen. The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months. Results are seen 3-6 months post treatment.

Sculptra Q&A

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator that helps restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin to diminish facial wrinkles.

Sculptra works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. As the Sculptra PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.

Fat Dissolving

Phosphatidylcholine & Deoxcholate

Fat Dissolving

For those struggling with a double chin, our Fat Dissolving treatment offers a solution. This injectable contains deoxycholic acid, which targets and breaks down fat cells in the chin area. Achieve a more defined jawline and say goodbye to the double chin you've been wanting to eliminate.

Most people return in 5 weeks and require 3-5 treatments to achieve desired results.

Areas that can be treated include:

  • Inner and outer thighs
  • love handles
  • upper and lower back
  • chin, abdomen
  • jowls
  • back of arms.

The PCDC mixture is injected in a grid like pattern in the area of concern where it disrupts the fat cell membrane. The fat cells absorb the PCDC and become slightly inflamed and burst , releasing their enzymes and fatty content. An inflammatory response begins, allowing the debris o be cleaned up by the macrophages that have migrated to the area.  This inflammation response is responsible for some redness, soreness and hardness. New collagen is then deposited in the area, causing tissue retraction with denser and firmer skin. The fat and and cellular debris that are removed are collected as waste and excreted through the body's normal metabolic pathways.

Fat Dissolving Q&A

Are The Treatments Painful?

There may be some localized discomfort upon injecting such as a burning sensation that can lasts a few hours after injection. Swelling will occur in the treated areas, soreness and inflammation for several days after treatment. It is important to know that these inflammatory side effects produce a tighter and smoother overlying skin.

What to Expect During a Consultation

During the consultation, we will discuss and assess your areas of concern. Before treatment it is best to avoid alcohol, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, vitamin E and other n0nsteroidal inflammatory drugs three days prior. Bring loose fitting clothing if you are having areas of the body treated.

What to Expect During a Treatment

The treatment area and surrounding skin will be cleansed. A grid like pattern will be drawn on the area to be treated. Multiple microinjections will be administered. The larger the treatment area, the more injections will be required. After the injections have been completed, the area will be massaged.

What to Expect Post-Procedure

Discomfort such as burning can be experienced for a few hours post injection. Swelling will also occur. Bruising is also a possibility. The area should be massaged often to help facilitate the break down of the fat cells.

PDO Threads

Lift & Tighten

PDO Thread Lift

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are a type of minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that involves inserting biodegradable threads into the skin to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate various areas of the face and body. These threads are made of a safe and absorbable material commonly used in medical sutures.

PDO threads work by stimulating the production of collagen, a protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin. As the threads are inserted into the skin, they create a mesh-like structure that supports and lifts sagging or loose skin, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

PDO threads can be used for structure and lift in the following areas:

  • Midface
  • Brows
  • Jawline
  • Eyes

Mono PDO threads can also help with skin integrity and rejuvenation in the following areas:

  • Lines around the lips
  • Lines on the lateral cheek
  • Nasolabial Fold
  • Marionette Lines
  • Chin crease
  • Acne Scars
  • Temples
  • Neck and Décolletage
  • Lines around the eyes
  • Vermillion Border

PDO Threads Q&A

Polydioxanone (PDO) thread lifts use a biodegradable synthetic suture that breaks down in the body after approximately 6 months. They consist of surgical grade materials that are well accepted within the body. The sutures have small barbs that allow it to anchor into the tissue and allow us to pull and lift the facial tissue. The presence of the suture triggers cells in your body called fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin. Eventually this collagen and elastin will replace the suture as it dissolves. Collagen is a protein that gives your skin structure and elasticity. We are able to use different types of threads to help with different concerns. Some are for skin rejuvenation, while others are for support and lifting.

Results can last up to 2 years. It is often recommended to have more than one treatment after the 6 weeks depending on each patients facial fat, skin condition and outcome desired.

The threads are administered using a hollow blunt needle called a cannula. Once the threads have been placed, the cannula is removed and the threads are tightened and massaged. Your injector will be monitoring you closely during the treatment. Most treatments take 30-45 minutes.
