Long-Term Hair Reduction

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal with InMode Diolaze XL offers a longer-term approach to managing unwanted hair. This diode laser delivers light energy that is absorbed by pigment in the hair, creating heat that targets the follicle and reduces future growth. Its built-in cooling surface helps protect the skin and improve comfort during treatment. At MUSE, we assess your skin tone, hair colour and treatment goals to create a personalised plan. A series of treatments is usually needed, and results vary from person to person.

Areas we commonly treat include the upper lip or chin, jawline, full face, neck, underarms, chest, stomach, full or half back, full or half arms, bikini, Brazilian, and full or half legs. Your nurse will confirm which areas are suitable for you.

Laser Hair Removal Q&A

How many treatments does it take?

Hair grows in cycles, so not every follicle responds during the same appointment. A series of treatments is usually recommended. Most clients need approximately 6 to 8 sessions for a given area, with spacing based on your hair growth cycle and the area being treated. Maintenance appointments may be needed; treatment does not guarantee permanent removal of every hair.

Does it work on every hair colour and skin type?

Laser hair removal relies on pigment in the hair. White, grey, very light blonde and some red hair may respond poorly. Your skin tone, recent tanning and the device settings also affect suitability. We will assess these factors before recommending treatment.

What to Expect

What to Expect During a Consultation

We begin all appointments with a consultation. During the consultation, we review the area(s) of concern and your medical history. It is important to fully disclose medications, skin conditions, recent tanning and any previous reactions to laser treatment, as these may affect your safety or results.

We will discuss realistic expectations, preparation and aftercare, and whether a test spot is appropriate. Avoid tanning before treatment and follow the preparation instructions provided by your nurse.

What to Expect During a Treatment

Please arrive with clean skin and the area shaved as instructed. Avoid waxing, plucking or other methods that remove the hair root before your treatment series, following your nurse's guidance. You will wear protective eyewear while the handpiece is passed over the treatment area. You may feel warmth or a snapping sensation; the built-in cooling helps make the treatment more comfortable. Appointment length varies with the size of the area.

What to Expect Post-Procedure

Temporary redness, warmth and swelling around the follicles can occur. Treated hairs may shed gradually over the following weeks. Avoid picking or scrubbing the area, and follow your nurse's advice about heat, exercise and skincare products while the skin settles. Protect treated skin from sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen as directed. Shaving may be resumed when the skin is comfortable, but avoid waxing or plucking between sessions. Burns, blistering and changes in pigmentation are possible. Contact the clinic promptly if you develop blistering, increasing pain or other unexpected skin changes.
